HealingHopes.org is a newly established nonprofit organization committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for children in our community. Our mission is to empower youth through education and sports, offering them vital opportunities to thrive and succeed—especially for the most vulnerable children impacted by war, disaster, and orphanhood. With a special focus on those who have endured unimaginable hardships, HealingHopes.org strives to be a beacon of hope and a place where every child has the chance to heal, grow, and achieve their fullest potential.
Our Programs
We offer programs designed to support and empower children in our community:
- Educational Support: Providing essential school items like pens, pencils, backpacks, and shoes to ensure children have the tools they need to succeed.
- Sports Activities: Organizing soccer and basketball sessions to encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline.
- Mentorship: Offering mentorship for children dealing with trauma to help them heal and build resilience.
Our Impact
In Eastern Congo, many children have had their childhoods taken away by war, violence, and corruption. They are often left without direction, wandering the streets with no clear path ahead. But through our program, we offer these kids something more than just a way to pass the time—we give them the chance to dream, to find hope, and to believe in a brighter future. Here, they learn discipline, build confidence, and find the support they need to turn their lives around. In a place where so much has been stolen from them, we are committed to ensuring these children have the tools, encouragement, and hope to rise above their circumstances and create a better life for themselves.
Our Story
HealingHopes.org was created by three Congolese-Canadian friends who, despite living abroad, couldn’t forget the children back home in Eastern Congo. They saw firsthand how war, corruption, and instability had stolen the childhoods of so many kids, leaving them lost and without direction. From a distance, they knew something had to change. And so, they founded this program to give these children a chance— a chance to dream, to find hope, and to rebuild their future. Through our support, we’re helping these young people discover discipline, purpose, and the belief that despite their circumstances, a better tomorrow is possible. No child should be left behind, and together, we’re giving them the opportunity to rise above the challenges and create a life filled with hope and possibility.
